Towards the end of 2009 I agreed to arrange a series of 6 concerts for the Barns in 2010 and on 13th June the Tyburn Quartet thrilled us with their performances of Haydn op. 76 no. 2, the Quartettsatz by Schubert and Beethoven`s op. 59 no. 1. They played this demanding programme with great technical skill, but it was their ability to communicate through phrasing and dynamics which moved the audience. I`m sure this quartet has a bright future."
Adrian Knott MBE"There are those wonderful rare moments that one encounters from time to time when listening to a live performance. Last Saturday's performance of the Schubert Quartett-Satz in C minor by the Tyburn String Quartet in Northampton was just such a one. These four talented string players played with verve and passion displaying total understanding of the music but more importantly communicating directly to the hearts of their enrapt audience. Wow!!!!!!"
