Combining passion, energy and innate musicality, the Tyburn String Quartet create a rich yet versatile sound. What began as four friends making music together has developed into an award winning ensemble that shows great promise. They captivate the audience with their fresh approach and genuine love of music; this is a string quartet to remember.
The Tyburn String Quartet took its name from one of the five subterranean rivers which run into the Thames. This particular one can be found under Marylebone High Street and very close to the Royal Academy of Music, London.
You can listen to some samples of the Tyburn String Quartet's performances on the Media page.
"I was inspired to drop you a note following the wedding reception from which I have just returned. The ladies of the Tyburn Quartet were playing http://www.tyburnquartet.co.uk/. They played with very great style and professionalism, may I say, and their music making was deeply appreciated by the discerning wedding guests assembled at Dartmouth House, Mayfair. All passed comment."
Paul Thomas"Just a quick note to say what a resounding success last night was. There have been nothing but delighted comments from everyone, Everyone was abolutely thrilled - and there were a few people who came but weren't sure what to expect and they were so impressed with you all, and the range of music and of course, the excellent musicianship and prowess. The loved watching you interact with each other - I think you made a few converts there. It was a cracking good show and you brightened up our lives! It was such a pleasure, a real pleasure, meeting you all. I hope I see you again one day, but it will probably be on stage somewhere and I'll have to pay a lot of money!!!!"
